The government is planning to issue a list of solar models and manufacturers that will be utilised in the projects owned by the government and for those projects established for the sale of power to the government according to a recent notification by the ministry of new and renewable energy mnre.

On 14 06 2013 mnre has released a list of 33 companies that are approved for this subsidy scheme. With the objective of ensuring reliability of solar pv manufacturers and to protect the consumer interests and ensure larger energy security of the country ministry of new renewable energy mnre on 02 01 2019 has issued approved models and manufacturers of solar photovoltaic modules requirements for compulsory registration order 2019.
